We speak with Lizbeth Polo-Smith, who fled Peru in 2002 and entered the United States without immigration documents because she was unable to afford food or diapers for her children and saw no opportunity in her homeland. Today she is a U.S. citizen dedicated to helping immigrants and the community at large with food, health care and other needs.
